Young Life-Military: BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Well if you haven’t heard or seen the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Jesus is sending me to VICENZA, ITALY this FALL 2014!  After much waiting, preparation, and prayer God has opened the door for me to serve on staff with Club Beyond in September 2014! PRAISE THE LORD!

On Monday, July 7, 2014 I received a phone call from the Club Beyond office in Kaiserslatern, Germany.  Phil Alfrey, the Club Beyond International Director, offered me an Associate Staff placement in Vicenza, Italy and we discussed my budget (funding) adjustment.  To be honest, I had NO IDEA that Vicenza was an option for me to do ministry.  I answered with, “I love this, but I need to have some time to pray about it and will get back to you in a week.”  After speaking with my parents, we prayed that the Lord would give us all peace about this placement.  I know without a doubt that the Club Beyond staff at the international offices get on their knees before the Lord and truly seek where each of the staff should be placed.  I’m so EXCITED to know where the Lord prepared for me to serve Him!

This summer is going by so fast! I do not know where the days have gone!  One of my favorite parts is the opportunity to take some of the Ft Hood youth to Camp Eagle to experience Christ.  This has been a tradition with the Ft Hood chapels since 2003 when I was in high school.  June 9 through the 14 was coming up quick and I was so thrilled to be taking a bunch of our gals from Tuesday night’s Bible study.  But, near the last week of May I received a phone call from the Club Beyond office in Colorado Springs.  They asked me to join them that same week as camp for Community Director School (a requirement for all Club Beyond staff before coming on the field). 

 My heart sank as I prayed for a week and then shared with my 8 high school girls on Tuesday night the choice I had to make: camp or CD school.  Without hesitation, one by one, my girls told me that they knew that I needed to go to CD school and knew that I am doing exactly what the Lord has asked me to do (as much as they wanted me at camp with them).  At the end of the bible study, they prayed over me that evening.  I cannot express to you what a privilege it has been this year to serve these high school gals at Ft Hood.  God has truly done such a GOOD WORK in these precious girls’ hearts. This has been such a humbling experience knowing that only with God can any of this be possible!

June 21-31 I had the opportunity to go to camp after all serving alongside of 13 high school kids from Ft Hood in the kitchen.  We were on our feet for 10 hours a day washing dishes for thousands of campers.  The service project truly humbled each of those kids and blessed the camp immensely.

Currently I am at 48% in my monthly support and 65% in one time donations.  Please be praying along with me as I continue to meet with people and speak in front of small groups.  Please also be praying about who you know that would be blessed to be a part of this ministry as financial and prayer partners.
